What is an Emotional Support Animal Letter ( ESA Letter )?

An Emotional Support Animal Certificate is a document issued by a licensed mental health professional that certifies the need for an animal to assist in the treatment of emotional conditions such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. This certificate allows you to keep your animal at home, regardless of the landlord’s rules, and is exempt from any related fees or deposits.

The document must include the patient's name, date of birth, and confirmation of the mental health condition, without the need to mention the diagnosis. Only licensed psychiatrists can issue this letter, ensuring its validity and the provision of adequate emotional support.
